HARD GEL NAILS
Hard Gel nails are extension on your natural nail. I provide 2 types of extension by using TIPS (Clear, White and Natural) or Sculpting Forms. In order for them to be applied, your natural nail bed is filed down to create a rough surface before apply glue for the tips or attaching sculpting forms the nail extension. Once this is done, clients can choose their desire length, then apply bonder and builder gel, each layer need to cure into LED light. Usually 2-3 layers of builder gel will be applied in order to build a strong extension nail. This will be shaped and buffed, and then painted with gel polish and clients’ choice of nail art plus nail accessories.
Hard Gel Nails can last at least 2-4 weeks. For refills, I will drill off old design, trim cuticles, then apply bonder and layers of builder gel on new growth nails and rebalance the nails. New colour of gel polish and new design will apply after shaping and buffing refilled nails. For removal, I do not recommend my clients peel their hard gel nails off because this will create damage to the nails’ surface. Hard gel Nails will not soften in acetone, so using nail drill and nail files are the only way to remove hard gel.
Hard Gel do not have strong odor. This is a great choice of extension for clients who are pregnant or have very thin and brittle nails. The only thing that a lot of clients may not like is the heat spike from the LED light when curing. Some people would prefer Hard Gel is because it has a better natural look then acrylic nails.
